Do you perform reference checks on your applicants?
Yes! We perform a minimum of one reference check before you ever meet with an applicant. If you wish, reference information can be provided to you in a letter that includes the name and title of the person with whom we spoke along with the pertinent information gathered regarding the applicant's work history, attendance, skills, and abilities.

Where do you find applicants?
John Leonard maximizes recruiting efforts via traditional methods as well as innovative, Internet-driven methods. We utilize a variety of print advertising including the Boston Globe, Mass High Tech, Community Newspapers, local university and college publications, and more. Recently, we have committed our resources to the Internet, including memberships with Monster, HotJobs, Net-Temps, Dice, and BostonWorks. These memberships allow us to source applicants via specific job postings as well as targeted searches within their respective resume banks. In addition, we have maintained a strong advertising partnership with the MBTA. Of course, we never forget the value of applicant referrals and, to that end, we enjoy a 96% referral rate and offer one of the most progressive referral bonus programs in the industry as our thank you for turning to John Leonard for help.

What is your guarantee for direct hire employees?
We have a 90 calendar day prorated guarantee on every direct hire placement. This provides you no $ risk for the first 30 days.

What is your guarantee for temporary employees?
Our temporary employees bear a full performance guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the work of one of our Temporary Staff Representatives, simply contact us within the first four hours of the assignment and there is absolutely no charge for this time. We will identify a new temporary to complete the assignment and you will not be charged for the first four hours of work performed.

Do you offer temporary to direct hire placements?
Yes. We offer many hiring alternatives. Please contact our or temporary divisions for a detailed explanation of the programs available at a savings to you.

If I decide I want to hire a temporary employee, how does it work?
It is very easy to hire a John Leonard temporary. Simply contact our direct hire division to learn about the programs available at a savings to you and then choose the program that best fits your needs.

Is there a contract we have to sign?
Yes. It is our authorization contract in which you authorize John Leonard to conduct a search for a qualified candidate for your hiring need or temporary assignment. We send our Authorization Letter to you and you sign and return it to our office.

Will you provide client references?
Yes! We are happy to provide you with a list of references who will be able to tell you about their experience with John Leonard. Contact your consultant for more information. We will attempt to make them industry specific for you.

Do you give discounts based upon volume?
We always listen to your needs. A successful company in today's marketplace must be aware of the costs of doing business. John Leonard is happy to work with you in developing a mutually beneficial partnership tailored to your business staffing needs and budget. We will conduct a personal client review to determine your specific direct hire and temporary needs, the volume of your requirements, billling and special reports, and more.

Do you give discounts to non-profit agencies?
Yes. We are committed to supporting the efforts of all non-profit services. We provide a 5% billing reduction on all temporary invoices and a 15% reduction of the direct hire fee for service.

Do you offer a personalized service to meet my employment needs?
Yes. We are better able to match the best candidate to your need by gaining insight into your company culture and personality. We do this by visiting in person with you at your facility. We profile your organization, gleaning detailed information that will yield the best results. We are not a resume service.

How do you retain your qualified temporaries?
By offering an extensive benefits program, one that is attainable by all John Leonard temporaries. As a Thank You for a job well done we make certain that our benefits are not out of reach.

Do you have the capability of providing a bid/proposal of services to my company or responding to a RFP?
Yes. We are happy to provide a bid/proposal designed specifically to meet your requirements and your budget, since we believe that each client has needs unique to their company dynamics.

Do you provide on-site employee hiring and temporary staffing?
Yes. We are happy to provide complete On-Sight employee hiring and temporary staffing management to our clients.

How is the billing handled?
John Leonard generates payroll and billing in-house. Automated billing is generated weekly from timecards completed and signed by the temporary and also signed by you. Your signature verifies the hours worked and authorizes release of a paycheck to the temporary for the work performed. Billing for direct hire placement is mailed on the start date of your new employee. In addition, specialized billing and/or reports can be provided upon request.

Do you test your candidates and how accurate is your testing?
Yes. Our test results are very accurate. They confirm beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill level of knowledge to enhance our ability to match the most qualified candidate to the job at hand.

When I need someone for 3 months, can you guarantee that the temporary stays for the entire time?
We always ask for a full commitment and we build in performance and longevity cash bonuses to motivate our temporary to stay. Our temporary is a human being an intangible, where nothing can be fully guaranteed. Changes/emergencies occur at the most unexpected times.
