Our Client, a large Downtown law firm, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to provide leadership, direction and oversight in developing and maintaining the firm's business applications. The successful candidate will work closely with firm departments and their respective Business Relationship Managers to analyze requirements. Manages a team of application technical experts who implement technical solutions that will be delivered on time, within budget and meet or exceed customer expectations.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience, ITIL Foundation Certification, experience supporting a 24x7 production environment and a minimum of 7 years of Information Technology experience along with 3-5 years previous IT management experience. The successful candidate will also have knowledge of fundamental legal information system requirements, excellent working knowledge of Microsoft OS-based desktop, server, and database systems, good knowledge of Microsoft networking concepts and common infrastructure, good knowledge of server hardware, server storage and other infrastructure, client/server applications, and server utilities. Working knowledge of SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 and strong SQL skills. Hands-on experience with other development languages/environments including ASP, Javascript, VBScript XML, as well as .NET technologies such as ASP.NET, VB.NET and Visual Studio.NET, troubleshooting experience with PC desktop applications in an enterprise environment.
