Knowledge Management Attorney #19755-JLK / JLIND12 / Boston, MA
Must have a Juris Doctorate.
Our client, a Boston law firm, is looking for a Knowledge Management Attorney. Duties for this position would include:
- Creating, maintaining and executing the Firm’s Knowledge Management Strategy.
- Participating in non-Knowledge Management led IS projects.
- Conducting After-Action-Reviews or debriefs.
- Providing training and coaching for other members of the Firm on Knowledge Management.
- Conducting Knowledge Audits – reviewing, consulting and advising people on their Knowledge Management needs and initiatives.
- Developing and promoting adoption of work process and knowledge management systems that allow for effective capture, organization and sharing of attorney and departmental work product.
In addition to having a Juris Doctorate, a successful candidate should have the following:
- At least 4 years of practice in a medium-to-large firm to include a working knowledge of law practice, including either litigation or transactional practices.
- At least 2 years of further experience in a knowledge management or professional support attorney field.
- Strong communication, persuasion and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with a broad range of legal and administrative teams.
- Familiarity with knowledge management technologies, document management and assembly systems a plus.
- Knowledge Manager Certification preferred.
