Despite the progress that has been made to reduce the inequality between how much men and women are paid, there is still a significant gender pay gap. This wage gap has decreased in size but has never been closed. In fact, according to the Global Gender Gap Report 2022, it will take another 132 years to close the global gender gap. Currently, in 2022, the pay gap difference still stands at 17%, which is almost $20 less for females for every $100 a male makes.
