Accounts Receivable Clerk
Salary: $40K - $50K
2 years of accounts receivable experience required
A premiere Boston business law firm is looking to hire an Accounts Receivable Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the daily operations of the accounting department providing an accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable Clerk will prepare and submit hard copy and electronic bills
- Prepare statements and follow up on ages A/R balances
- Coordinate E-billing and resolution of E-billing issues
- Maintain various billing deadlines
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Assist with attorney or paralegal billing inquiries
- Maintain compliance with client requirements
- Update client-specific billing procedures and rates
- Process client payments and obtain appropriate authorization as required
- Balance daily and monthly cash from Timeslips to QuickBooks
- Research and problem solve discrepancies in reporting
- Assist with various reporting
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred
- 2 years of accounts receivable experience; law firm experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Experience working in Timeslips, QuickBooks and E-billing software preferred
- Excellent data entry and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
