HR Coordinator

Salary: $55K - $60K

2-4 years of experience working in a professional services environment, law firm experience required

A leading Boston law firm is hiring an HR Coordinator to support and facilitate human resources processes and initiatives in all U.S. business locations. The Coordinator will support all areas of human resources including recruitment, onboarding, temporary staffing, performance management, learning, professional development, and employee engagement.


  • HR Coordinator will respond to HR-related internal and external inquiries or requests
  • Process HR transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Create, maintain and update personnel records – participate in an effort to transition from hard copy to soft copy filing systems and maintain hard and soft copy filing systems in the interim
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employment verifications
  • Support the recruiting and onboarding process for business services- duties may include reviewing applications, initial screening, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters and other communications with candidates, onboarding and scheduling, and conducting aspects of new hire orientation for business services
  • Support learning and professional development function and initiatives for business services – duties may include preparing materials, managing course calendar, invitations, rosters, etc. in LMS
  • Support performance feedback process and initiatives
  • Provide general administrative support to members of the HR team as requested
  • Run and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports as assigned
  • Participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of the HR site on the firm’s intranet
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of employee engagement events and programs
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience working in a professional services environment, law firm experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of HR functions and best practices
  • SHRM CP certification a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client service orientation
