Responsibilities

  • Human Resources/Payroll will identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
  • Conduct new employee orientation, design onboarding schedules and checklists, conduct staff exit interviews and prepare related documentation
  • Recruit non-legal staff with the assistance of the Lead Secretaries and Director of Operations
  • Assist the Executive Director in recruitment efforts for legal staff
  • Perform all payroll functions including maintaining personnel files
  • Oversee and maintain all firm benefit programs
  • Assist Executive Director with benefit renewals, communications to the firm, and scheduling benefit meetings
  • Review and maintain benefit billing and budgets
  • Handle administration of the firm’s retirement plans and related reporting requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of human resources and payroll experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A high degree of accuracy and detail orientation, good judgment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
