IT Sourcing and Negotiation Advisor
Salary: $75K - $120K
4-6 years of experience in either one or a combination of the following is required: Buy-side IT contract negotiation, sourcing, procurement, or vendor management; or Sell-side IT application or services experience developing proposals, conducting pricing analysis, and contract negotiation as well as, Domain knowledge in IT sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiation
A Boston management consulting firm is seeking a professional, high energy individual to join its growing team of experts in an IT Sourcing and Negotiation advisory support role. In this role, you will play a central role in analyzing client material and preparing deliverables that support the strategic advice delivered to Fortune 500 executives during client engagements.
Responsibilities
- IT Sourcing and Negotiation Advisor will conduct analysis of IT application and services deals (software licensing, cloud subscriptions, and system implementation – with focus on Oracle and Workday) including related proposals, agreements, and SOWs
- Identify and comment on the critical business, financial, and commercial issues within IT vendor proposals, agreements, statements of work and related contractual documentation
- Provide written analysis of IT vendor proposed pricing and contractual terms and conditions
- Develop and recommend sourcing and negotiation strategies for IT application and services deals
- Conduct IT vendor and market intelligence research
- Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of internal vendor intelligence database and supporting client delivery templates and infrastructure
- Perform financial analysis and modeling to include 5 and 10-year TCO comparisons
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4-6 years of experience in either one or a combination of the following is required: Buy-side IT contract negotiation, sourcing, procurement, or vendor management; or Sell-side IT application or services experience developing proposals, conducting pricing analysis, and contract negotiation as well as, Domain knowledge in IT sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiation
- Domain knowledge in IT sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills to include data comparison and financial analysis/modeling
- Strong experience with Microsoft tools (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal skills - a positive attitude and high-level energy
