2+ years of estate planning experience as a legal administrative assistant required

Do you have excellent client service skills and legal administrative experience? A top Boston law firm is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant - Estate Planning. Apply to support the delivery of quality legal services to clients by providing specialized administrative and secretarial assistance to assigned attorneys and legal personnel about all aspects of the Private Client practice area.

Responsibilities

  • Legal Administrative Assistant - Estate Planning will draft all ancillary estate planning documents
  • Review personal bills received on behalf of trust clients and process same for payment; arrange for wires or checks to be sent to the client; keep abreast of cash balances in trust accounts to accommodate bill paying and other financial needs of the client; ability to work with members of the Trust Department to resolve client-related issues; extensive client contact and ability to accommodate a wide range of client needs
  • Support attorneys or other legal personnel as a primary assignment and provides backup support to other legal personnel as requested
  • Familiarity with estate planning documents; arrange for witnesses and notary for the execution of estate planning documents; keep a docket of executed documents up to date; create presentation binder of documents for client
  • Follow firm procedures for scanning and storage of estate planning documents
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all client and firm matters

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree 
  • 2+ years of Estate Planning experience as a legal administrative assistant
  • Familiarity with estate planning documents
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and comparison software, and familiarity with a Document Management system
  • Excellent organizational skills, including file maintenance and, billing preparation
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with courtesy and diplomacy
