Salary: $60K - $75K

A well-regarded, full-service Boston law firm is hiring a talented and creative Marketing and Communications Coordinator with 3+ years of experience to join its growing and fast-paced Marketing and Business Development Department.   • Marketing and Communications Coordinator will manage and grow the firm’s various social media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter; create social media graphics and templates using Adobe Suite and Canva and draft accompanying copy, optimize the firm profile and engage with followers, charitable foundations, etc., use Bitly to track clicks to the firm’s website from social media posts
  • Create and distribute marketing materials, including sponsorship ads, announcements and advertisements, event invitations, internal newsletters, seminar materials, and other internal and external communications
  • Manage website content using WordPress and work with external website vendor
  • Support the effort of implementing a new firm website and re-brand
  • Support Public Relations efforts including drafting and editing press releases, client alerts, and internal communications
  • Act as liaison with local news outlets and other publications including trade, community and bar associations
  • Work closely with practice group leadership to support the needs and initiatives of the various practice groups
  • Organize and support the execution of firm-sponsored marketing and business development events and programs (internal and external), from conception through follow-up
  • Maintain department and practice group calendars and agendas
  • Write, edit and proofread text consistent with AP standards
  • Coordinate, write, and edit awards submissions and nominations for publications, legal guides, directories, and surveys (e.g. SuperLawyers, Best Lawyers, Chambers and Partners, and 40 Under 40)
  • Prepare customized business development collateral materials, including client pitches and proposals, firm brochures, one-pagers, newsletters, client alerts and holiday cards (via Constant Contact)
  • Invoice tracking and follow up
  • Conduct competitive intelligence
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys and professionals at all levels


  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, creative design or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm, other professional services or creative agency
  • A strong understanding of social and digital media marketing is a must (social media management, optimization, analysis, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required with strong knowledge of formatting techniques
  • Proficiency using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Canva and WordPress is desired
  • Ability to identify key press, media and sponsorship opportunities 
  • Prior experience using email marketing platforms including Constant Contact
  • Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral
  • Team player with superior interpersonal skills, willingness to work with professionals from every level of the firm to complete tasks
  • Self-starter who is able to multitask and prioritize and able to work well under pressure while meeting shifting demands and deadlines
