JOHNLEONARD has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Office Manager to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This full-time office management role is based in Boston and offers an attractive salary of up to $100K and excellent benefits.
As an attentive Office Manager, you will coordinate recruiting and hiring of staff members, supervise staff performance, administer firm policies and procedures, prepare the annual office budget, manage office space and facilities, monitor local IT issues, maintain contact with all personnel, and observe confidentiality in all client and firm matters for one to two offices.
In your first few weeks in this Office Manager role, you can expect to:
- Assess and recommend staffing levels and appropriate adjustments and ensure proper workflow for the office
- Supervise the ongoing performance of staff members in the office and advise attorneys and supervisors on employee performance standards
- Manage all day-to-day office and staffing coverage needs
- Assist and work with all firm departments on various firm processes, projects, and initiatives
To apply for this office management job, you will need knowledge of administration or human resource management at a level normally acquired through completing a Bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resource management, a closely related field or equivalent. You will also require five to ten years of progressively more responsible work experience at the management level in a law firm or other professional services organization to gain experience managing business operations. You must also have additional experience as a Legal Secretary, Assistant, or Paralegal, which may be simultaneous with office management experience. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in person, via email, or by telephone with a diverse group of attorneys and staff are also essential.
