A Boston healthcare nonprofit is looking to hire a T-DH IT Support Specialist to join their dynamic team. Apply to participate in IT hardware and software deployment projects, as well as installations, such as new desktops, laptops, printers, phones, copiers or other devices. 


  • IT Support Specialist will staff the service desk to resolve inbound support requests for end users
  • Escalate advanced or difficult help requests, involving the Director of IT as necessary
  • Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
  • Support users with EHR and EDR issues on NextGen
  • Perform hardware and software system configuration, maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting of workstations, laptops, mobile devices and printers
  • Support Outlook 2016 on an Office365 cloud-based email system
  • Install, configure, and document various software packages upon user request with proper approvals
  • Maintain workstation and server security patches, virus updates and efficiency tuning
  • Act as the point of contact for technical support for all network services
  • On-board new employees, create accounts, and order hardware and software for those employees, assist in the training and orientation of new staff in the use of hardware and software
  • Maintain and support the Microsoft Hyper V environment
  • Maintain and support the Veeam backup server environment
  • Interact with vendors to facilitate repairs of hardware, i.e. printers, laptops and desktops
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications
  • Perform fixes on remote computing equipment, peripherals, wireless and cell devices
  • Assist on vulnerability management and troubleshooting
  • Test fixes to ensure the problem has been adequately resolved
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups with end users as required


  • 2+ years experience of: operating system support including Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Server 2008 – 2019; and equipment support (projectors, LANs, personal/network printers)
  • 2+ years service experience with Microsoft Active Directory and related technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, GPO
  • 2+ years IT experience of: server support in a Windows environment, preferably in the healthcare industry; and laptop encryption
  • 1+ year experience of: Spiceworks helpdesk or other industry help desk software; application support with MS Office 2010 and later, Adobe products, SharePoint
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and outstanding attention to detail
