Responsibilities
- Facilities Manager will perform or arrange for maintenance and repair of basic plumbing, heating, electrical and HVAC systems, and upkeep of these systems
- Ensure that all building equipment is working properly
- Perform basic carpentry, and perform or arrange for maintenance and repair of furniture
- Keep up-to-date logs of all functioning inventories and necessary repairs and renovations
- Review and approve invoices for facilities-related work, keeping costs in line with budget
- Obtain building inspections and certificates needed to maintain licenses and certifications
- Provide guidance and recommendations regarding facility maintenance and improvements
- Maintain a vendor list and coordinate vendor and repair services
- Negotiate contracts for facility services such as landscaping, snow removal, and housekeeping
- Serve as primary contact for the housekeeping vendor/department and ensure facilities are neat and clean at all times
- Maintain, track, and review inspection schedule for all sites
- Coordinate facility moves, and participate in the construction project team when needed
- Transport, dispose of or relocate office equipment and furniture
