A local leading nonprofit organization has an opportunity for a Temporary Housekeeping Supervisor in Charlestown, MA. This position is 8 AM-4:30 PM. You will manage housekeeping functions and staff to ensure guest rooms and public spaces are clean and well maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping Supervisor will utilize interpersonal skills and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
  • Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • Maintain strong working relationship with Front Office to ensure effective communications for operational issues
  • Obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments
  • Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies; submit purchase orders to maintain adequate inventory monthly
  • Ensure guestrooms, public space and associate areas are cleaned according to operating standards
  • Maintain an effective inspection program including rooms, public areas, storage areas, recreational areas, and laundry
  • Respond to and handles guest complaints effectively

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of experience in housekeeping and experience managing several employees
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills
  • Strong communication skills
