Salary: Up to 55K

3+ years of food service supervisory and 5+ years of food service experience in institutional cooking required

A Boston Based non-profit is looking to hire a Temporary Kitchen Manager who will manage kitchen projects that directly support operations. In this role, you will directly manage trainees and will articulate department goals in the absence of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.

Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Manager will meet weekly with the Food Services/iCater leadership team to review all production and production-related issues
  • Meet weekly with the iCater Director to collaborate on operational initiatives
  • Oversee the compliance of company policies and procedures, iCater standards, and local and state regulations
  • Collaborate with the department leadership team
  • Contributes to recommend budget, inventory controls, and reports
  • Investigate and resolve violations of internal controls, policies, procedures, standards, and regulations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent 
  • 3+ years of food service supervisory
  • 5+ years of food service experience in institutional cooking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software
  • Knowledge and experience in menu and food production planning, nutrition, and special diets
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; superior interpersonal, verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and perform in an environment that is often times stressful and demanding
