Derek McKinley

Derek was appointed COO in 2007 and President in 2012 and is responsible for driving the strategic goals of the organization by providing clients, organizations and candidates alike with the best experience possible.  Additionally, Derek is focused on identifying new opportunities to further broaden the scope of JOHNLEONARD's impact on the business community. Since joining JOHNLEONARD in 1994, Derek has served in a variety of management positions across the organization including Vice President of Sales with responsibility for both Direct Hire and Temporary Divisions.

Prior to joining JOHNLEONARD, Derek held Human Resource Management roles within a number of US based technology companies in Ireland and one of the world’s largest vertically integrated food companies based in the Middle East.  Derek received both a BA degree in Economics & Sociology and Masters in Human Resources from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

Derek is a member of staffing professional associations and participates in numerous business executive networking groups.  He sits on the Board of YMCA Training & Education Branch and is Chair of the branch Strategic Planning Committee.
